Keema with Methi and Aloo/ Mince meat with Fenugreek leaves and Potatoes


It's just a hotch-potch of few meat and veg that can be instantly done for lunch or dinner. This time I tried with the half packet chicken keema left in the freezer. You can try out the same with other meat.All it takes is just 10 min of your time, and you can surprise people at the dinner table.

Quick Fire Keema with Methi:

Ingredients :

  1. Minced mutton/lamb/beef – 500gms
  2. Methi leaves-cleaned, washed and chopped -250gms
  3. Chopped onions – 1 cup
  4. Chopped tomatoes -2 cups
  5. Chopped Ginger -1 tsp
  6. Chopped  Garlic -1 tsp
  7. Cubed Potato- 2
  8. Garam masala -1 tsp
  9. coriander powder – 1 tbsp
  10. Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp
  11. Pepper powder -1/2 tsp
  12. Chiliy powder -1/2 tsp
  13. Oil
  14. Salt
Method to prepare Aloo Methi Keema
  • Heat oil and add  add the garlic, ginger, onions  and the garam masala, and stir-fry, till the oil separates.
  • Add the tomatoes and continue to stir-fry , then add the salt, coriander, turmeric, red and black pepper.
  • Add the meat and potatoes, stir a few times till the colour changes, and then lower the heat.
  • Continue to stir fry, till the keema is almost cooked through.
  • Add the fenugreek leaves and cook till oil separates . Serve hot.
